These are wonderful projects and I am hoping to see more birds. The receipe is 1lb. lard and 2cups peanut butter. Melt. Take off heat and add 4 cups bird seed and 2 cups cracked wheat(I put cracked corn). I didn't find fresh cranberries so I got the frozen kind and left the bag in the fridge till morning. Then I got yarn and then got those cranberries on there. That's it. You just put it outside and wait.
I really don't know what is wrong with my backyard though. It's been almost 2 weeks since any birds have come by. My feeders are full and they still haven't come by. Now I am hoping that with these two colorful and wonderful smelling feeders they will come.
So let's see what I attract now. Can't wait. They look beautiful anyway.

They sure look inviting to me, if I was a bird! Great job. I thought about using frozen cranberries but was afraid they'd be mushy. I should have anyway. Oh well, live and learn.

The birds here have eaten all of the seed pinecone feeders we made, but they haven't touched my cranberry garland yet. Maybe too frozen! :)
